FLYING DEUCES

THE FLYING DEUCES is classic Laurel and Hardy – which means it’s one of the funniest movies you’ll ever see. When Ollie’s heart is broken by the beautiful Georgette, he decides to join the Foreign Legion to forget. And if Mr. Hardy goes, his dear friend Mr. Laurel has to go, too. But once they get to their desert outpost, they turn out not to be so great as legionnaires – who could have predicted it.

Made at RKO, this was Laurel and Hardy’s first film not produced by Hal Roach. The Foreign Legion commandant is played by Charles Middleton an actor known to serial fans as Ming the Merciless from the “Flash Gordon” films.
